Listen does not mean obey
It does not mean follow
Listen, understand
Then judge
Then decide.
I am not sure if I have been able to properly express my thoughts here, but I have realised, that sometimes listening could save us a lot of wasted time and effort, on things that don't really matter.

I agree. It is always a delight to witness your work.
My coach once said something similar. Listen and decide. More information makes a better decision.
