Scar

There was this fear

I had tried to

Understand it

Obey it

Escape it

Nothing worked

The fear won and departed



It came back

This time I faced it with honesty

The fear was weak

It had returned without a purpose

It escaped

I have not won

The wound has opened again

Only this time it will heal faster

The scar will remain



It feels good.

The best kind of friend is the kind you
can sit on a porch and swing with,
never say a word, and then walk away
feeling like it was the best
conversation you've ever had.


A dear friend of mine had presented me with this thought (a forward printed on paper) along with few others some years ago, I still treasure it. Sometimes, silence is indeed golden.


I am glad for the very few friends I have had and still have.
I guess, it is common to have differences.
